Strategies for Blue-Green Infrastructure in Bangkok

This policy memo addresses the urgent need for improved blue-green infrastructure in Bangkok, a city facing climate change, rapid urbanization, and inadequate green spaces.

The memo proposes a series of key recommendations to promote sustainability, resilience, and improved quality of life. These include redefining current goals to blue-green infrastructure to - prioritizing accessibility, focusing on residential areas, enhancing accessibility through green links, integrating blue-green infrastructure with transportation, and emphasizing functionality over aesthetics and tourism. 
The Klong Nonsi Canal-Park Project is presented as a prime example to demonstrate how these proposed policy interventions can be effectively translated into design solutions, leading to a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Bangkok.
